How Do I Get There?
You have to take a panga from the Vallarta Pier or get Boca and take a panga from there too! (Please we need to know which panga you plan to arrive at least 24 hours before your arrival!)
What should I pack?
Suggested items: passport of course – required for travel to Mexico cash – no ATMs or banks and credit cards largely not accepted flashlights or headlamps walking/hiking shoes swim suits sun screen and bug repellent beach shoes comfortable clothing for warm weather and cooler evenings camera sunglasses and a hat binoculars toiletries books and playing cards or games upset tummy remedies earplugs to block out Wed. and Sat. fiesta nights cell phones – there’s cell service in Yelapa, check your plan for rates a big appetite – so much great food and drink here! Don’t bring: electrical adapters – you don’t need them in Mexico expensive jewelry – the ocean is fond of collecting wedding rings fancy clothes or shoes expectations to work – the wifi is not super reliable
What currency should I bring?
We accept Pesos, Canadian dollars and American dollars. When you arrive at Licenciado Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport, you will have the opportunity to exchange your currency into Pesos.
What if there's an emergency while I'm there?
We have a clinic in Yelapa. If there is a major emergency we will transport you to the Puerto Vallarta hospital.
Is it safe to leave the property?
You have likely heard some scary stories about Mexico but Yelapa is safe. Petty theft is the worst of it so keep your valuables locked up or leave them at home. We provide a safe on the property that you can keep valuables in if you leave for the day!
Is the kitchen stocked?
We supply all large and small appliances, utensils and basic condiments.
Are there any house rules?
House Rules No pets No parties or events Check-in time is 3PM – 8PM and check out out by 12PM (noon) More information – If you smoke, please smoke outside. – No parties in our home. Please respect and care for it as if it was yours. – 6 people max permitted in the house. – Quiet hrs begin at 10pm and end at 9am. You must also acknowledge Must climb stairs – Yelapa is hilly and our place requires a walk up stairs and a path.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Flexible – Free cancellation for 48 hours After that, cancel up to 24 hours before check-in and get a full refund, minus the deposit.
Are there any banks or ATM's?
There are no ATMs or banks in the town and many places do not accept credit cards. Think about what kind of activities you would like to do and how often you plan to eat out to bring enough money in cash.
What are the hours of operation?
Puerto Vallarta for Yelapa 11:00 am,11:45 am,1:00 pm,3:00 pm,5:00 and sometimes 6:00 PM. Boca for Yelapa every hour 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm , 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm.
What is the registration process?
The registration is at 3:00 PM and check out at 12 pm (noon),if you arrive early, you must inform us in advance, so that you can leave your bags, take the key and go out to explore Yelapa, while the house cleaner finishes up. * Very important, do not forget to bring a flashlight!
